After my appointment at the Community Health Advocate's office at Daly City, I decided to hop on the 133 Airport/Linden route of Samtrans to check if there's public transportation going to S Airport Blvd. in SSF. Most of the good deals when it comes to accommodation are there so I wanted to check it out.

I came prepared. I conditioned my mind that there is no available public transportation in the area. I just wanted to see it by myself. So, I expected a lot of walking. And it is so.

Susme! I walked for about two hours and a half! I realized that I am way too far from my usual place because I've seen the SFO International Airport. I usually get there by BART. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the airplanes and the long term garage terminals right before my eyes. Ang layo ko na talaga! Kaya para aliwin ang sarili ko, I took pictures and sent it to Misis Tikboy. Heto po sila..

Dinaan ko na lang sa kain ng Haagen-Dazs coffee ice cream ang pagod habang naglalakad.

Hah! The Shops at Tanforan! I see the light! Ehek!

Lawit dila, hingal kabayo pagkasakay ng bus.

Yey! Nasa SSF na rin ako sa wakas!!!

It was a good 7 mile walk. When I got here at the library, I just went to Project Read's office to ask about the volunteer program and then went up to the library to return the book that I borrowed last Saturday. Sat down, rested for a while and then talked to Misis Tikboy. Told her about my adventure today. There's nothing in this world that I would like to hear over and over again than the voice of Misis Tikboy. Haaaaay... what a relief. Nawala lahat ng pagod ko nung marinig ko boses niya. She still makes me feel this way, ilang taon na pero hindi pa rin nagbabago. Such magic comes only once in a lifetime.

Thanks Mahal! Mwaaaaah!

Pag di ako makatulog..

Mag-crave pa ng mababasa.. natapos ko kasi basahin ang librong ito ng dalawang araw. I need a new one.

Kumakain ako ng one pint of Haagen-Dazs coffee ice cream.. actually, naubos ko siya ng isang upuan lang. Ewan ko ba, kung kailan malamig (46 degrees F ang temp) saka naman ako nahilig sa ice cream!

Another Saturday off of work..

Applied for another library card... kabisado na nga nila ako, basta wala akong pasok alam nilang nasa library lang ako. Ngek! Kahit nung college, library ang tambayan ko.

Trying to access the online library, malayo kasi ito sa tinitirahan ko. Napadaan lang ako ngayon kaya naisipan kong mag-apply for a library card.

Composing a message for Misis Tikboy while reading her blog, I miss her posts as much as I miss her.

Morning convo

After I took a bath this morning I called Misis Tikboy and told her that I am ready to go out of the house. I asked her if she was already on her way to the Nissan dealership for Xterra's routine check up.

Misis: Yep, nagda-drive na ako.
Mister: Okidoki, nakabihis na ako. Kain na lang tapos punta ng 808 para magsuot ng jogging pants at magpalit ng damit.
Misis: Bakit? Ano ba suot mo ngayon?
Mister: 'Yung binigay mong warmer na pants. Tapos naka hooded sweat shirt lang ako saka sandals.
Misis: Anooooo? Lumabas ka ng banyo na naka warmer pants lang?!
Mister: Oo, bakit?
Misis: Wag kang lalabas na yan lang suot mo! Isuot mo ung scrubs na suot mo kagabi kahit na madumi na. Batukan kita jan eh!

I have always loved to hear Misis Tikboy's frantic voice like this. Ewan ko ba, kulang siguro ako sa pansin kaya gustong-gusto kong nagpi-freak out siya at nag-react ng matindi tungkol sa suot ko. Feel na feel ko kasing love na love niya ako at ayaw niyang mapansin ako ng iba. Hekhekhek!

I love you Mahal.. naka warmer nga po ako pero naka-jogging pants, shirt at sweat shirt. Yihiiii!

Ang misis kong nurse

I got my baptism of fire last Sunday night. Took a beating and then after two days of moping, I got over it. Now I've learned my lesson. Got to learn how to detach. Funny because I've been saying that to Misis Tikboy whenever a patient dies in her floor. Now, it's her turn to say it to me.

I don't have a background in the medical field. I'm interested but I've got no formal training. So, I usually ask Misis Tikboy when I am in doubt. Yesterday after a barrage of questions she told me, Magkano ba PF ko dito? Consultation na ito ah! Magkano ba rate ng home health nurse niyang pasyente mo?

I just laughed. That's when she told me this: Sarap ng may misis na nurse noh? Hahaha!

Then she goes on with: Tingnan mo na lang, kung 'yung mga ex mo ang kausap mo ang sasabihin sa 'yo...

a. Naku, patay kayo idi-demanda na kayo niyan kasi ang daming pasa! Parang binugbog niyo!
b. Gandahan mo na lang pagtiklop ng table napkin at presentation ng pagkain ng pasyente mo.

Napatawa talaga sa remark ni Misis Tikboy, napaka-maldita talaga! Kaya nga ba mahal na mahal ko siya eh!
